Anyone can claim say that their bottle aerates wine, but we needed scientific proof. To find the truth, we visited two accredited scientific labs in Maine. The first was Katahdin Analytical Services in Scarborough; the second was the Maine Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory (HETL) in Augusta. We asked HETL to replicate the dissolved oxygen test and the exact same procedures and tests that Katahdin had performed several weeks earlier.
The good news is they confirmed the earlier Katahdin numbers, and the results from both labs were very positive. The “POURATION” effect was for real. The AireWine bottle produces a greater percentage of dissolved oxygen in a wine glass than either a Burgundy or Bordeaux bottle.
